Steps Required to Establish Your Dog(s) at Firefly Kennel

1. Fill out our application online and submit electronically. Please fill out a complete application for each and every dog.
2. Please have your vet e-mail fireflykennel@gmail.com your dog's vaccination summary to include: Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. Canine influenza is highly recommended and required for out of state dogs.
3. Please have your vet e-mail fireflykennel@gmail.com proof that your dog is treated year round with Flea/Tick prevention.
4. Please have your vet e-mail fireflykennel@gmail.com proof that your dog is treated year round with Heartworm prevention with a dewormer.
5. Once we receive all required vet information, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet to see if our facility is a good fit. Please bring dogs in on a flat collar and regular leash or a slip lead. No harnesses or retractable leashes please. Meet and greets take approximately 30 minutes. We observe how the dog(s) interact with their owners, to me and my staff, and to dogs around them. Dogs must walk nicely on a slip lead in and out of the kennel without excessive pulling or negative reaction to other dogs and settle nicely inside. All dogs must be house trained (with the exception of young puppies).
6. New boarding dogs must come for a day and a night before a longer stay. New daycare dogs will have a trial period.
7. Print and sign a hard copy of the Owner Agreement and Facility Use Agreement waivers.

Steps Required to Establish Your Cat(s) at Firefly Kennel

1. Print and fill out a hard copy of the Cat Boarding Questionnaire.
2. Print and sign a hard copy of the Cat Owner Agreement and Facility Use Agreement waivers.
3. Please have your vet e-mail fireflykennel@gmail.com your cat's vaccination summary to include: Rabies, Distemper, and Feline Leukemia.
4. Pease have your vet e-mail fireflykennel@gmail.com proof that your cat is treated year round with Flea/Tick prevention.
5. Cats must be liter box trained!

About our Boarding & Day Care Fees

• If fleas are found during the pets stay, a flea bath will be given for an additional charge of $35 and up depending on the pet.
• Firefly Kennel does not accept credit or debit cards. Cash or Checks only.
• We charge a $25 returned check fee.

Check out is 10am. A $30 daycare fee will be charged for pick-up after 10am. Due to limited boarding availability, we charge a 1/2 down(minimum of one nights stay)deposit to secure boarding dates. Deposits are non-refundable but may be used as a credit within six months minus a cancellation fee of one nights stay, providing the cancellation is 1 week or more before drop off. Deposits are non refundable with no credit if cancellation is less than 1 week before drop off. The remainder is to be paid at drop off and is non-refundable for late drop offs or early pick-ups. Extending boarding dates is only possible if we have availability. If we can accommodate, additional charges will apply. Please note, we do not board dogs together. Each dog gets their own kennel. This is purely for safety reasons.
